Our skilled physicians, certified nurse practitioners, radiation therapists, nurses, social workers, nutritionists, pharmacists and case management coordinators help patients and their families in the battle against cancer using the most advanced technology with a personalized, comprehensive approach. The Center provides the most up-to-date chemotherapy treatment and innovative therapies for symptom management. The Center's state-of-the-art equipment for radiation therapy includes the capacity to administer internal high-dose radiation brachytherapy (HDR) and the most advanced linear accelerator (as shown above) that administers higher doses of radiation to tumors while minimizing the exposure of surrounding healthy tissue. MVH’s Regional Cancer Center will use medical oncology (chemotherapy, hormone therapy and biologic therapy), radiation therapy and surgical services or a combination of these to battle your cancer. Besides medical care, the staff offers educational screenings and emotional support and counseling.
